Could you be our new governor?


Woolavington Village Primary School is looking for people to join its Local Governing Board. The role is voluntary and the appointment is for a 4-year term of office


The Local Governing Board has responsibility for day to day governance within the school. Its key responsibilities are:

to recommend the vision, ethos and strategic direction for the school
to hold the head of school to account for the educational and financial performance of the school
to ensure money is well spent

The LGB is accountable to the Clevedon Learning Trust Board of Trustees.


We would be delighted to hear from anyone who has:

an interest in the performance of the school
a desire to contribute to and represent the community
an open and enquiring mind
the ability to look at issues objectively
the confidence to ask questions and join in debate 
a willingness to listen and make informed judgements
the ability to work well with others
time to spare
