The long awaited work to improve the drainage in the Playing Field off Sedgemoor Way has at last been completed. It was paid for by way of several generous grants from Villages Together.
The work was delayed by weather from the start which resulted in the field being closed for longer than envisaged due to health and safety requirements. There is temporary fencing up at the moment as some of the reinstatements still need protecting but the grass seed is now beginning to grow following the recent rain. Hopefully the field will be back into full use by the end of September.
A maintenance plan has been drawn up. Once in place the ongoing maintenance and improvement plans for the whole area will move forward.
