The Parish Council have been campaigning for some time about road safety issues around the double bends at the Causeway following a high number of incidents involving vehicles crashing through hedges or ending up in the rhynes. It was thought that excessive speed was a contributory factor in most cases and County Highways have now provided double bend signs and painted SLOW on the carriageway to warm motorists to slow down as they negotiate the bends.
A new road narrows sign has also been provided near the former chapel to replace the sign which was removed during building work a few years ago.
